Sonja Anton and Fabian Klenk, the two people responsible for working on DigitalService values, in conversation with a colleague.

Our (new) values. Working together successfully.

A look inside the DigitalService office: Three colleagues are standing at a white desk, looking at software code on a screen, having lively discussions. In the gray-clad meeting boxes, people are sitting on stools, in meetings and gesticulating. Collaboration, exchange and discussion characterize our everyday work. At the same time, DigitalService is a fast-growing company. It is therefore important to us that the working environment remains positive and that all employees know the guidelines for collaboration at DigitalService: To this end, we have identified and clearly articulated our corporate values.

In this blog post, our colleagues Sonja and Fabian explain how an internal working group developed and articulated the DigitalService values in a participatory manner. They give practical examples of how these values were made known to employees via mini-games and participation formats. The outcome: They are now used in everyday life to justify decisions or to give each other feedback.

Sonja Anton

is one of the co-founders of DigitalService and most recently supported the team as Chief of Staff. Before she previously led the Tech4Germany fellowship program, in which she participated in 2018, she advised the public sector at Capgemini. In the office, Sonja preferred to walk around barefoot and liked to write such articles over a glass of Aperol Spritz. The next challenge she is pursuing is earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in California.
