Work4Germany: Transformation experts wanted for federal ministries – application phase for fellowship program started

Berlin, February 20, 2023
Since Monday, February 20, the application phase for “Work4Germany 2023” has opened. It is the fourth time that DigitalService, the central digitalization unit of the federal government, is organizing the fellowship program. Work4Germany brings transformation experts from the private sector together with employees of the federal administration for six months. Starting in September, successful applicants will bring their expertise directly to where it will have the most impact – on site in the federal ministries. The goal is to make modern and user-centered ways of working tangible and thus bring about change together. The application phase ends on March 20.

About Work4Germany

Work4Germany is a fellowship program that has been bringing together methodologically strong transformation experts (called “fellows”) from the private sector with employees from federal ministries and top federal agencies since 2020. During the six-month fellowship, the teams work on cross-divisional challenges, redesign workflows, and focus on iterative and user-centered ways of working in projects in the context of administrative digitalization. Methods are understood as tools – even beyond the fellowship. This opens up new scope of action and design and creates very tangible benefits for managers, teams, projects and processes. With Work4Germany, DigitalService is driving the transformation of work culture at the federal level from within. The teams are supported by an experienced fellowship team and tailored exchange formats.
