How we work with federal and state governments to digitalize the application for assistance with legal counsel
How can a legal application be made understandable, intuitive and digital for everyone? This is what we are working on in the “Digital Legal Application Office” project. An interim summary: since summer 2023, more than 7,000 preliminary checks for the application for legal aid have been carried out online – an important milestone. In the update in this blog post, we explain how we are approaching the goal of fully digitalizing the application via the preliminary check.
Caroline Merz
has been working as Senior Transformation Manager at DigitalService since the beginning of 2022. Prior to that, she worked for just under five years as Program Manager for Design Thinking Training at the Hasso Plattner Institute. She is a trained Scrum Master and guides teams and organizations to deliver projects and products in an iterative and user-centric way. Caroline has a background in humanities, publishing and marketing. With her little daughter, she loves to spend time dancing and playing in the playgrounds of Berlin.
Christoph Böhmer
is senior Product Manager at DigitalService. Before that, he worked for a long time as a Product Manager developing digital learning products for students at sofatutor. He knows how best to convey content and how important trusting teamwork is for successful product development. Christoph enjoys spending his free time with his daughter on Tempelhofer Feld with a bike, apple juice spritzer and delicious cappuccino.
