Lunch & Debate: Will AI save administrative digitalization?

Key tool or technological hype: the use of artificial intelligence in administrative digitalization is the subject of intense debate. In our new Lunch & Debate format, DigitalService tackles current digital topics and lets two debaters weigh up the pros and cons – deliberately pointedly and exaggeratedly.

In our first edition, we look at the use of AI in administration. AI can support the transition to automated workflows. However, there are risks, for example in terms of transparency, security, and data protection. We recognize these risks, but the focus of the debate is on whether the advantages outweigh the potential risks.

Magdalena Zadara

is Chief of Staff & Strategy at DigitalService. With a background as a product manager and designer, she combines user-centered design with her experience on software teams to create processes and structures that help DigitalService teams successfully execute their projects and fulfill the company's mission. Previously, she was responsible for and designed digital products in a number of private sector companies, including a telemedicine startup, corporate venture builder BCG Digital Ventures and digital agencies. Her first car was a Trabi.

Niko Felger

has been gaining experience in early-stage startups since 2008 – spanning live music, online marketing, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence. He has been with DigitalService since its founding and, in his current role as Head of Engineering – Technology, is responsible for providing technical support to projects, facilitating cross-project knowledge exchange, and implementing technology strategies. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and exploring nature with his two children.
