Work4Germany: Fellowship program at federal level starts fourth round
Berlin, August 28, 2023
New ministries, new timeline, new thematic focus: The Work4Germany fellowship program will start for the fourth time on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. 20 transformation experts from the private sector (“fellows”) will be sent to eleven federal ministries and federal agencies for six months to work with employees on projects in the context of administrative digitalization. The goal is to transform the federal administration from the inside out. The fellowship program is organized by DigitalService, the central digitalization unit of the federal government. It is funded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community.
About Work4Germany
About DigitalService
To achieve this, DigitalService works closely with the federal government to design and implement innovative digital solutions through interdisciplinary teams. Even before DigitalService was founded, the Tech4Germany and Work4Germany fellowship programs brought technical and methodological expertise to the administration, helping to bring the benefits of new working methods to life and improve the implementation of digitalization projects.
DigitalService was established in October 2020 as a federally owned limited liability company and is wholly owned by the federal government. It emerged from the non-profit start-up 4Germany, which was founded in 2019.
