Unsere Methoden im Kontext der Sozialstaatsreform

Reliable, high-quality childcare: a must for working parents and a bonus for the development of many children. In August 2026, primary school-aged children will have a legal right to full-day childcare – initially for first graders, and gradually for other grades as well. To ensure that the necessary childcare services are available, the federal government has been providing funding for the necessary municipal education infrastructure since 2021 through the Full-Day Childcare Funding Act.

Dr. Jakob Häußermann

has been Unit Lead Digital Social Welfare at DigitalService since January 2026. Prior to this, he had been responsible for the Digitalcheck as project manager since August 2022. His work is based on the conviction that our democracy urgently needs more modern structures and processes in order to remain viable and fit for the future. He had previously been involved in this area as a founding member of the Collaborative Governance Lab at BASE, as a Fellow at Work4Germany, as an innovation consultant at Fraunhofer, and in research at the TUM School of Governance.
