No fellowship without projects: application and selection process at Tech4Germany

Tech4Germany started with two projects in the pilot year 2018. Since that first year, we have reviewed hundreds of project applications and selected between six and eight projects each year. We have iterated the way in which we present Tech4Germany to the federal authorities and select projects over five years. Time and again, we receive questions from other organizations at state or municipal level about how we arrive at our projects. We are now making the evolution of this process available in a transparent manner.

Joshua Pacheco

led the Tech4Germany fellowship program, in which he himself already participated in 2019. Previously, he was responsible for the collaboration with the state and local government at CityLAB Berlin as well as the publication of the methods manual "Öffentliches Gestalten". Joshua has been following the price development in Berlin's gastronomy since his youth with a conversion to kebab (which was 2.50 German Mark at the time).
