Transformation in practice: shaping project work with the federal administration

The aim of our work with the federal administration is to create user-centered, state-of-the-art digital products. What is often overlooked from the outside: Administrative staff often work under conditions that make it difficult to create such products. For example, working on permanent tasks (“line tasks”) is the norm in the federal administration. Working in projects, on the other hand, and understanding the special features of project work are the exception. Project work that functions in an iterative, interdisciplinary and impact-oriented manner must first be established within our joint projects – including the working relationships and basis of trust that are necessary for this. This is what we call transformation work: Because the development of digital products also involves a change in working culture.
